We would like to provide you an information package for both in-person and online participants before the conference starts. We wish you a nice journey and look forward to seeing you at the EAAE Annual Conference + General Assembly 2021 personally or online.

CONFERENCE VENUE

Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Architecture

Address: Thákurova 9, 160 00 Prague 6, Czechia
Public transport: The building of the Faculty of Architecture is easily accessible by public transport. Find a connection at https://www.dpp.cz/en

The nearest stations are Dejvická metro station, Dejvická, Lotyšská or Thákurova tram stops and Dejvická bus stop. The journey from the metro takes approximately 10 minutes, if you take the tram, the faculty can be reached in about 5 minutes.

REGISTRATION

The Registration Desk will be located on the ground floor of the Faculty of Architecture and will be opened as follows. The hours are applicable also for the online Helpdesk.

Participants will receive the name badge upon registration. Each participant is kindly requested to wear the name badge when attending the conference.

LUNCH

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPEAKERS (ON-SITE)

All speakers presenting on-site will be required to upload all digital files needed for their presentation in the Kotěra Hall. The files can be uploaded at any time during the konference but at least 1,5 hour before the beginning of your session. In case your speech has been scheduled for morning session, please come to the Kotěra Hall the day before your presentation.

ACCESS TO THE VIRTUAL CONFERENCE

To attend the EAAE 2021 virtual conference, you need to be registered and have your registration fee fully paid.

OPENING & KEYNOTE LECTURE: Wednesday, August 25

You can follow the EAAE 2021 Opening and Keynote Lecture by Steven Holl on this link.

The Opening starts at 18:00, Keynote Lecture follows at 18:30.

You can ask questions during the Q&A disscussion which will follow via Slido. Via Slido you can ask anonymously and vote for the questions you like, bringing the most important topics to light.

SOCIAL PROGRAMME

OPENING RECEPTION will be held on Wednesday, August 25 after the conference Opening at the Czech Technical University, Faculty of Architecture. All registered participants have a free access.

Time: 19:30 – 21:30 
Dress code: casual

GALA DINNER

The Gala Dinner will take place in the evening of Friday, August 27 at the “Strahov Monastery” which is one of the oldest monasteries of the Premonstratensian Order in the world, situated close to the Prague Castle and Petřín city park.

You will have the unique opportunity to visit the Strahov Library prior to the diner. The visit is starting at 19:00, so please be sure to arrive in time.

All registered participants have a free access but a confirmation of attendance is needed.

Transportation: bus transfer or public transport (individual)

Bus transfer: will be arranged from the Czech Technical University, Faculty of Architecture. The bus will be ready to board from 18:15 and will leave at 18:30.

Please wear your badge to be able to get in the bus.

By public transport: If you plan to travel by public transport, you can find a connection at https://www.dpp.cz/en

The nearest tram stop is Pohořelec.

EXCURSIONS

The excursions will take place on Wednesday, August 25, starting at 13:00. Please check the meeting point of the excursion of your choice at the conference website – part PROGRAMME – Excursions.

Time: 13:00 – 17:00
Transportation: will not be arranged. Detailed information about the excursions´ meeting point and contact person phone number can be found at the conference website.

BRNO: VILLA TUGENDHAT & SONBERK WINERY

A full day trip to Brno on Saturday, August 27. You visit the famous Villa Tugendhat and continues to a tasting tour of the leading Sonberk winery after lunch.

Time: 8:30 – 19:30 
Transportation: bus will leave from the Czech Technical University, Faculty of Architecture. The bus will be ready to board from 8:15 and will leave at 8:30.

COVID-19 INFORMATION

If you have COMPLETED VACCINATION (14 days since the last dose) testing and quarantine after arrival are not required.

To enter Czech Republic, you will need:

1/ Arrival form

2/ EU Digital COVID Certificate or National Certificate

If you HAVE NOT BEEN VACCINATED, please refer to the following or see the attached picture in pdf:

The protective measures of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic distinguish five categories of countries:

– low-risk (green)

– medium-risk (orange)

– high-risk (red)

– very high risk (dark red)

– extreme risk (black)

The list of the countries can be found here.

1. persons who have stayed in countries with a low (green) or medium (orange) risk for longer than 12 hours in the last 14 days:

• submit a completed Arrival form (the so called “Passenger Locator Form) prior to entering the country

• undergo an antigen or RT-PCR test that must be undertaken prior to entering the Czech Republic or no later than 5 days after arrival to the Czech Republic;

2. persons who have stayed in other countries for longer than 12 hours in the last 14 days:

• submit a completed Arrival form (the so called “Passenger Locator Form) prior to entering the country

• undergo an antigen or RT-PCR test that must be undertaken prior to entering the Czech Republic

• undergo, according to the applicable measures, RT-PCR test also in the Czech Republic, including self-isolation

If you are in need of undertaking a test, the closest testing spot to the FA CTU is right on Vítězné náměstí, at the intersection of Šolínova and Technická Streets. Please click on VYPLNIT A REZERVOVAT, the following registration is then also available in English.

Please be aware that in the interior of the FA CTU is required to wear a respirator. You can remove it when presenting or eating.

In case you forget one, we have spare ones at the Registration Desk.
