HRADČANY AND MALÁ STRANA GARDENS
13.00 - 17.00
Walk through the gardens of Hradčany and Malá Strana. We will meet together at Queen Anne's Summer Palace in the Royal Garden and continue around the singing fountain of Francesco Terzio, a giardinette founded in the place of former vineyards separated from the Castle by Stag Moat, repeated arrangements were done by Pavel Janák (1938 and 1954). The garden excelled in growing rare plants from its beginning. We will stop in the northern part of the castle complex in the Na Baště garden, the exotic character of the garden was done by Josip Plečnik in the 1920s. Through Jánský vršek and Tržiště we will go to the normally inaccessible terrace of the Wrocław Garden, which is part of the palace complex in Malá Strana, as well as our next destination, the Baroque Vrtbovská Garden. The last stop awaits us in the Nostic Garden, which is now part of the Kampa city park in MaláStrana. From here, you can easily reach the Old Town and the Bethlehem Chapel. A visit to Prague would not be complete without a trip to Prague Castle, nevertheless, we will take you to its gardens. We will visit the grounds of Prague Castle and together we will head to the Royal Garden with the Singing Fountain, which is one of the most beautiful Renaissance fountains in Europe. The southern gardens (Rajská, Zahrada Na Valech and Hartigovská) stretching in front of the southern facade of Prague Castle offer a charming view of the Malá Strana, the Old Town and the nearby Petřín.
